MusicXML for Sibelius
Move a sheet-music PDF into Sibelius through MusicXML.
NoteBridge converts a clear sheet-music PDF into standard MusicXML so you can bring the recognized notation into Sibelius instead of rebuilding the score manually from the page.
Clear PDF score → recognition → MusicXML, MIDI, WAV, and MP3.
Who this is for
For composers, arrangers, teachers, church musicians, and ensemble directors who need editable Sibelius notation from an existing PDF score.
Simple workflow
From PDF score to usable digital music in three steps.
Upload the PDF score
Submit a clear, upright sheet-music PDF of up to three pages during the current Beta.
Download MusicXML
After a successful recognition job, download the MusicXML output from your NoteBridge workspace.
Open it in Sibelius
Use Sibelius to open the MusicXML file, then compare the imported score with the original PDF and make any needed notation corrections.
Frequently asked questions
What to know before you convert.
Why use MusicXML instead of the PDF itself?
MusicXML carries structured music notation that compatible editors can interpret. A PDF primarily preserves the appearance of a page and is not the same as editable score data.
Can Sibelius open MusicXML?
Current Sibelius versions support MusicXML import. After NoteBridge produces the MusicXML file, open it in Sibelius and review the result against the original score.
What should I check after importing?
Review pitches, rhythms, accidentals, articulations, lyrics, multi-voice passages, and layout-sensitive areas. Optical music recognition is useful, but complex or unclear notation can still need correction.
Does NoteBridge charge a Beta credit for a failed job?
No. Rejected or failed Beta jobs do not consume the reserved conversion credit.
