Online sheet-music scanner
Scan a sheet-music PDF into notation and audio online.
NoteBridge uses optical music recognition to read clear sheet-music PDFs and turn them into downloadable MusicXML, MIDI, WAV, and MP3 files without requiring a desktop scanner application.
Clear PDF score → recognition → MusicXML, MIDI, WAV, and MP3.
Who this is for
For musicians who already have a scanned or exported PDF and want a browser-based path from the page to editable notation and playback files.
Simple workflow
From PDF score to usable digital music in three steps.
Prepare a readable PDF
Use a straight, clear scan or exported sheet-music PDF. During Beta, each score can contain up to three pages.
Let NoteBridge recognize the score
Choose a playback voice and submit the PDF so NoteBridge can identify the musical structure.
Download what you need
Keep MusicXML for notation work, MIDI for compatible music software, or WAV and MP3 for listening.
Frequently asked questions
What to know before you convert.
Does NoteBridge scan paper directly with my camera?
The current NoteBridge Beta accepts PDF score files. If your music is on paper, first create a clear PDF scan, then upload that PDF to NoteBridge.
What makes a PDF easier to recognize?
Readable, upright pages with sharp notation and good contrast give optical music recognition a better starting point than faint, skewed, blurry, or heavily marked scans.
What files does the scanner produce?
A successful NoteBridge conversion can provide MusicXML, MIDI, WAV, and MP3 outputs from the submitted sheet-music PDF.
Do I need to install software?
No desktop NoteBridge application is required for the Beta workflow. You upload the supported PDF through the NoteBridge website and retrieve the result from your workspace.
